E85 Labs is a free calculator for mixing E85 and pump gas. You can use it without an account. This page explains what data it handles and why.
Using the calculator without an account
Without an account, your calculator values (tank size, blend targets, and similar) aren't saved anywhere; they reset each visit. Your browser keeps a few display preferences on your device, like which sections you've collapsed. They are not sent to us.
If you create an account
- Your email address, used to send you sign-in codes and to identify your account.
- Sign-in sessions: when you sign in, we store a session along with the IP address and browser type it came from, to keep you signed in and to help protect your account.
- Vehicles you save: the names you give them and their calculator values.
While you're signed in, your current calculator values are also kept in your browser on your device (not sent to us), so they're there next time. Signing out clears them.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Finding stations near you
When you use "Find E85 near me", your device shares its location with the app. Only an approximate location, rounded to about a kilometer, is sent to our server and on to a public alternative-fuel station database to look up nearby stations. We don't store your location. Distances are calculated on your device.
Services we rely on
- Cloudflare hosts the site, its server code, and account data.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page views so we can see how the site is used. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and doesn't collect personal information.
- Resend delivers sign-in code emails.
- OpenFreeMap / OpenStreetMap provide the map on the stations page, and Google Fonts provides the app's fonts. Your browser loads these from their servers, which can see your IP address.
- Tapping Directions opens Google Maps, which is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app. This permanently removes your account and everything saved to it. To clear the calculator settings stored on your device, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
